San Diego was extremely fortunate this last weekend. The local mountains received an abundant amount of snow on Christmas Eve. This event prompted people to venture out of their homes and into the cold to enjoy this wonderful gift.
As a native, I know snow is not rare in San Diego but people tend to freak out and scramble to get up to the mountains before it is gone. This left me with a problem. I had to deal with a lot of people and get up to the snow before it melts. Luckily I had Monday off because that gave me the opportunity to get up to the snow with my camera.
However, my plan backfired horribly because everyone else had the same idea. Due to this issue, I had to forfeit plenty of good photo locations for ones free of people. As you can see from the photo above that decision was the best one I made that day.
