My name is Paul Broding. I was born and raised in San Diego but more specifically East County San Diego. I have lived here most of my life except the seven years I lived in Los Angeles. However, that was just to complete my undergraduate work at Cal Poly Pomona. I then moved back to San Diego after college to start a career.
During the initial part of my career, I worked primarily in the Agriculture industry due to having a Bachelor degree in Ornamental Horticulture. I worked in both the public and private sectors for about five years until I decided to go back to school and make some life changes. That decision was one of the hardest ones I had to make in my life but it turned out to be the best one.
During graduate school, I learned that I have been underestimating my abilities as a student, professional, and individual. This initial mindset stemmed from my performance in my undergraduate program. To keep it short and sweet, I did horribly in that program, grades wise. However, this time would be different.
I told myself before even entering the program that I would push myself every minute of every day to get where I wanted to be, the top of my class. In the end, I achieved my goal. I graduated with a Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Finance at the top of my class and was asked to join a prestigious honor society.
Upon completion of my MBA, I ventured off into the workforce. I spent almost a year working an entry level job at a corporation here in San Diego before I picked back up a camera. It took six solid months behind the camera to realize that this was my passion in life.
Now it was time to take my passion to another level, create a business and see it until the end. I accomplished this with all the experience and knowledge I accumulated since my first time in front of a computer, almost 20 years ago. For instance, I used Zenfolio as my compiler but everything else was created by me. The logo, layout, photos, and blog all created by yours truly.
"Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning." - Winston Churchill
This quote explains exactly what this website is about. It was the beginning but is definitely, not the end. I will continue to pursue my passion, photography, to see where it will lead me. I am hoping it will lead me to something great. However, I cannot do it without your help. By supporting me you are not only helping me purchase new equipment but will allow me to explore a path in life that I can share with you through my photography. All I want to do is to take photos for you guys to look at and make you happy. Thank you for all your support. Especially, to Katy Riel for taking the amazing picture for this page.
